A veteran of over 1,800 shows throughout the U.S. and Canada, "Boots" has warmed the hearts and tickled the innards of thousands of fans. As a solo show for the Utah Performing Arts Tour, he's spent six years as one of Utah's official cowboy poet/songwriters, bringing his solo show--and performances with "Sidekicks"--to many Utah communities . Dubbed by contemporaries as a "Wordsworth of Cowboy Poetry," his meticulous attention to rhyme and meter make him great listenin'. An outstanding voice and guitar, his renditions of old western favorites and his own original songs are a high-point of any event. News Flashes....Michael "Boots" Robinson has been named, for the third time, to the Utah Arts Council's "Performing Arts Tour" and will be doing a show called "Sidekicks," with two other Utah, top cowboy poets. This show is subsidized by a State/community partnership, to bring quality entertainment to smaller communities. ("Sidekicks" is also available for non-subsidized venues, at a cost of $1,200.) For more information on this performance opportunity, click here 2006 marked the fourth time Michael "Boots" Robinson has won the Silver Buckle in the prestigious Western Legends Roundup Cowboy Poetry Rodeo, in which top cowboy poets from the U.S. and abroad compete for honors and big-purse winnings. The Australian Broadcasting Corporation recently featured Michael's poetry in a broadcast aired throughout Australia.
